I enjoy reading the Little House on the Prairie books for my daughter, but I want something for me. Are there any books, like the others, but for adults?

I like the theme of migration in the western pioneers, and I love the detail in the books of the little house, in relation to show how life was then.

I'm definitely not looking for romance novels, not necessarily prohibit Cowboy / or novels (which the novels of Louis L'Amour) appearance.
